    Megavalanche

Riding this little hill on your own is one thing, but racing it, with hundreds of other guys just makes it extra gnarly.

A quick clip from this years Megavalanche, a mass start downhill race. First one down, wins.

    Berlin vs. Moscow

Berlin – “It’s full of graffiti. People smoke weed. But, you ride a bike with no brakes, you get a fine.”

Moscow – “Without brakes you can ride just in a circus.”

A ‘WeLoveCycling’ documentary that contrasts riding fixies in two very different capitals.

Apparently made to be able to pedal downhills at a normal cadence, with the chainring spinning faster than the crank arm! Myles says it destroyed chains really easily though..

    Myles Rockwell’s 1998 Cannondale Fulcrum

It weighed 23 kilos, and cost 20,000 dollars to make (in 1998!). It was triple chained and radical, and although it was raced in world cups, it never made it to the market.

Cannondale no longer make downhill bikes. Bit of a shame.

    Toothless Styby

After a nästy crash at last years Eneco Tour, Stybar needed reconstructive work to fix and replace his teeth. It seems the cobbles of Flanders undid that surgery, and so it was a toothless Styby that raced to a top 10 finish in last Sunday’s RVV.

Which is the best wheel size?

In a highly scientific test, the University of Central Lancashire and BikeRadar aim to find the best of the wheel size standards. To do this, they cover a rider in 100 thousand pounds worth of equipment and sensors; all in the name of science.
